Astn’go is a multi-tenant architecture software allowing many industrial customers to use it while each having its own Tenant.

What does the term Tenant mean?

The word Tenant can be translated as: lessee, resident, occupant.

In the Cloud world, the term Tenant refers to a private cloud in which the tenant’s data are stored.

Analogy Tenant/Apartment.

Astn’go is installed in a data center that can be considered as a building in which there are apartments rented to customers. Thus, each Astn’go customer has his own private space, his own Tenant.

The building manager is responsible for all the support and services required for the proper use of each apartment, and the charges are included in the rent charged to the tenant.

You are the tenant, and your data is in your apartment. You are the only one who has the keys.

As such, your data will be stored in the region of the world closest to the administrative address of your company. If your company is registered in France, your data will also be located in a Tenant (apartment or building) in Europe.

Advantages of a multi-tenant architecture:

  • Pooling of IT resources (servers, backups, security)
  • Pooling of the costs necessary for the execution of the software
  • Simplified delivery process for the user
  • Software always up to date from a technical and functional point of view
  • No migration costs for the user
  • Very configurable application because it is the same for all users, so everyone can customize the application as they wish
